Near Infrared Electrochromic Smart Window with Plasmonic Compound Nanomaterials

Control of light transmittance is important for optoelectronic devices such as smart windows and switchable photodetectors. In particular, that infrared can be used tuning thermal flows through windows. Plasmonic compound nanomaterials are suitable those because their electrochemically tunable localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). We combined CuS nanoplates with MoO3 nanosheets developing complementary near electrochromic cell. loses its plasmonic absorption (peaked at ∼1100 nm) when it reduced, opposed to MoO3, whose >600 nm suppressed oxidized. An assembled window rocking-chair type lithium ion transport exhibits wide changes in the region.
